You might be asking yourself – what does it take to be a team member here at PropShop24? Well, for one, you need an active imagination coupled with creativity.  Thinking ahead of time – a firm knowledge of what’s happening online, be it marketing trends or what the next big bubble is going to be. Plus, you need a fine eye for curating products that are edgy and cool yet functional and perfect to gift.

These are qualities that Arshia Kachwala possesses, and it’s thanks to her and her team that PropShop24 was able to curate and launch the jewellery section.  Since the launch is still fresh in our minds, we thought it’d be fun to go behind the scenes and interview the person who was instrumental in setting it up.

Without further ado, let’s get to know Arshia!

Team PropShop24: What exactly do you do at PropShop24 and what is it like working here? 
Arshia Kachwala: Here at PropShop24, I help with the Merchandising. My interests mainly lie in fashion, hence working on the jewellery launch was very exciting. It took us months of research to curate brands/designers that fit the vibe of PropShop24. It was a great learning process, and I’m looking forward to launching many more categories on the website!

Through the week, we spend most of our time at work, therefore, it’s very important that you’re surrounded by like-minded people. The environment here is great and of course a lot of FUN while getting work done.

TPS24: Tell us why you think jewellery is the perfect gift for any occasion?
AK: Because it is! You will keep it forever, and it doesn’t get much more personal than a great piece of jewellery.

TPS24: Describe the jewellery you curated for Propshop24 with 5 adjectives
AK: Affordable, Up-to-the-Minute, Precious, Acquired and Resplendent

TPS24: What are your favourite pieces from the jewellery collection
AK: Well, I like all the pieces from the collection, but if I had to choose I’d go with the three listed below:

1. Silver or Gold

While dressing an outfit I’m very big on wearing only gold or only silver jewellery. These earrings can be worn with both.

Can’t explain my love for Trinket-y jewellery. There is a collective quality about trinkets, which makes hunting and finding them all the more fun.

TP24: What’s a song you love listening to before going out with your girls and why?
AK: I don’t have a favourite. But I enjoy upbeat music while getting dressed or heading out.

TP24: Tell us something about yourself that not many people know about you, but you wish they did
AK: I can never seem to find my phone after two glasses of wine.

TP24: What’s your idea of the perfect weekend?
AK: Hanging out with friends, game-night, music, a lot of food and losing my phone.

TP24: What’s one item of clothing, furniture, jewellery etc. that you would never part with, and why?
AK: I got this ring (pictured below) as my first piece of jewellery from my mum when I was 12. After 15 years of wearing it and a lot of disfiguration – I’m not sure if you can tell but it’s meant to be a ring, no matter the shape I won’t stop wearing it!
